Driving Directions Feature Added
A new feature has been added to the blog manager and it is driving directions. When a blogger adds themselves to the Community Blog map (on the map marker tab) there is now an option to opt-in for having driving directions show up on their blog. A link will appear on their blog and when the link is clicking on by a user the destination location (a businesses/organization address) is automatically filled in as the end location; the user simply then enters their start location and a map is created that includes complete step by step driving directions.

Geotagging allows you to give a location to a blog post. For example, if you are writing a blog post about your favorite restaurant you might want your blog post to show up on our Stories Map. This allows you to share your knowledge with the world about specific places you've visited.
Geotagging on this website is very simple to do. When you add a new blog entry you will see a field that says "Geotag this blog post". You then simple enter a physical address of the place you would like to geotag and then post the blog entry. This then automatically gets added to the Community Stories Map with a map marker. If you click on the map marker it will have a link back to your blog posting.
As an example, I have geotagged this blog posting for Largo, FL. Click here to view the Community Stories Map to see the marker. The marker will also be added to the blogger's stories map, click here to view my Stories Map.

I am proud to announce the launch of YourCommunityBlog.com. I hope to see great things happen as the site grows and takes on a life of its own.
