Woo Hoo Swimming!!
Kylie here. It was my very first day at Active K-9 and I have to say it was a very new experience. I have been mostly a home body over the past three years, so all these new friends and smells, the running and playing were quite interesting but took me a bit to get use to.
It sure was a warm day, even laying out under the oak trees had me panting. To my great surprise the large inground pool I had been eyeing earlier in the day turn out to be for the dogs! Can you believe it!
Right after lunch we got to splash, paddle & swim. We could dive in or take the time and meander down the steps. Glorious, I finally understood why all off my new friends were so excited to be here.
My mom recieved tons of big kisses from me when I learned I would be coming twice a week, I sure can't wait to do it all over again on Tuesday :0)

Hello All,
Little did I know it when I arrived at Active K-9 for a good day of play that it was Bath Day! Seeing as I am a big lovable ball of endless white fur, seems my folks signed me up for a spa day. I have to say it was a wonderful experience.
Started off being introduce to two new friends (Bruno & Mindy) and guard duty in the backyard, there were a couple squirrels that needed to know I had arrived. After a few back and forths between the playroom & yard I really got into the swing of things. I even played a little with that energized young pup Meeka.
After a great social morning it was off to be loved on by Mrs Carmie and what a time it was. The full brush out and massage was so relaxing I fell asleep. When I woke from my nap, I do believe I lost several pounds in hair hehe, my feet were even trimmed!
Now I've heard of rumors that dogs don't liking baths but after the experience I received today I certainly am not one of them. It was luxurious, I do believe there was a second massage in there somewhere : 0).
Now that I am clean as a whistle, and exhausted from all the entertainment I do believe it's bedtime for this happy pooch. Enjoy the read & I hope your dog will get to enjoy a spa day soon.

Ever come home to this mess?

Don't let the picture fool you, I really am a good dog. So is my little brother Wyatt. We had permission to cause this mess lol. I won't fib and tell you I did it just to please my folks, I had a BLAST. But to often I hear of other unfortunate dogs causing a mess like this without the proper go ahead.
What some people don't realize or remember when you leave one of us home alone for an extended period of time is that if we get bored there sometimes isn't a simple solution to help us out. We can't just pick up a book or turn on our favorite tv show.
So next time you leave your furry family member at home be sure to give them something to do. I really enjoy a Kong filled with kibble & peanut butter. Wyatt is always set with a couple chew bones spread out for easy access. But to each dog his own I always say.
Ofcourse the most popular choice to keep a busy dog happy is Doggie Daycare, for more information on where I get to play go to www.activek-9.com
